Beneficiary data protected, volunteers' devices respected

A charity holds some of the most sensitive data there is, on laptops used by a small staff and phones used by volunteers who are giving their time. Purple MDM encrypts and patches the charity's own devices, gives volunteers a work area on their own phones with a plain page saying what the charity can see, and asks for no IT team.

What you are up against

Sensitive data, small team, borrowed devices

  • Beneficiary and donor data

Case notes and donor records on laptops that go home, with a funder asking how they are protected.
  • Volunteers' own phones

Volunteers use their own devices and will stop volunteering before they accept being tracked.
  • No IT team

An operations manager who also does the devices, with a budget that does not stretch to a specialist console.

FAQ

Questions we hear from teams like yours

What can the charity see on a volunteer's phone?

Only the work area. The transparency page lists what the charity can and cannot see, personal apps, photos and location are outside it, and the volunteer can retire the device themselves.

Can we run Purple MDM without an IT person?

Yes. Settings are forms, known fixes send themselves and failed checks are explained in plain English. A Purple partner can also run it for you.

How is it priced for a charity?

Per device, per month, every platform included. Tell us your fleet and we send a quote; your partner can quote through the partner portal.

Can we show a funder our data is protected?

Yes. Compliance reports over time show encryption and patch status per device, with the audit log behind them.
