Device health decides who gets on the network
Purple MDM is made by the company behind Purple Access, so it is the only MDM whose view of a device's health can decide whether that device gets on the network, automatically and in seconds. An unhealthy device is moved to a safe network and let back once fixed, with no admin involved.
The loop
Fail, isolate, fix, let back
Four moments, none of them needing an admin.
1. A check fails
Purple MDM sees it first
Encryption off, an update past its deadline, a certificate about to expire, a device that has gone quiet. The verdict is explained in a sentence.2. Access moves the device
A safe network, in seconds
Purple Access reads the verdict and moves the device to a safe network, where it can reach what it needs to be fixed and nothing else.3. The fix lands, the device is let back
Nobody raised a ticket
Purple MDM sends the known fix and tells the person what to do. When the check passes, Purple Access lets the device back onto its normal network.
Step by step
What happens to a device that fails a check
The device checks in
A Mac, PC, phone or Chromebook reports its facts: encryption, OS version, passcode, patch status, certificate health. Purple MDM runs the compliance checks.
A check fails
Purple MDM records why, in plain English, with the evidence, and makes the verdict available to Purple Access the moment it changes.
The person is told what to do
A notice on the device says what failed, what is happening and how long it takes. Where a fix exists, Purple MDM sends it without waiting for IT.
The device is let back
When the check passes, Purple Access lets the device back onto its normal network. The whole loop is logged in Purple MDM's audit log.
Why it matters
One platform for the device and the network it joins
WiFi certificates that look after themselves
Certificates for WiFi and wired networks are issued automatically to every device and renewed before they expire.
No integration project
Purple MDM and Purple Access share a sign-in and a platform, so device health reaches the network with no extra setup.
Unhealthy devices contained
A device that fails a check is on a safe network until it is fixed, not sharing the staff network while someone finds time to look at it.
One account for existing customers
Purple WiFi and Purple Access customers sign in to Purple MDM with the account they already have.
The network side lives on Purple Access
Questions about Purple MDM and Access
Do I need Purple Access to use Purple MDM?
No. Purple MDM manages your devices on its own. With Purple Access, device health also decides network access, and existing Purple customers get that tie-in with no extra setup.
What does the device see when it is moved to a safe network?
A notice from Purple MDM saying what failed, what is happening and how long it takes, in plain English. The safe network reaches what the device needs to be fixed.
Who decides what counts as healthy?
You do, in the compliance checks: encryption, OS version, passcode, jailbreak or developer mode, patch status, certificate health and last check-in. Every change to a check is previewed before it is saved.
Does it work with my existing access points?
Purple Access runs on the access points you already own: Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper Mist, Ubiquiti UniFi, Cambium, Extreme and Fortinet. Purple MDM supplies the device health; Access does the network side.
