Small business

Intune or Jamf results, without the full-time device team

A business with twenty to two hundred people has a mix of Macs, Windows PCs and phones, an office manager who looks after them, and no appetite for a console that needs a specialist. Purple MDM sets devices up at first switch-on, keeps them encrypted and patched, and explains anything that goes wrong in a sentence.

What you are up against

Everyone's second job

  • Nobody owns the devices

Laptops are bought as people join and set up by whoever is free, so no two are alike and nobody knows which are encrypted.
  • Leavers walk out with access

A leaver's laptop still has the company's email and files on it, and nobody is sure how to wipe it.
  • Specialist consoles

The MDMs built for enterprises assume a team that reads error codes for a living.

How Purple MDM is set up

How Purple MDM is set up for a small business

  • New starters' devices set themselves upOrder the Mac or PC, have it shipped to the person, and it enrols, encrypts and installs its apps at first switch-on. On a Mac the person can type their work email in Settings.
  • One security baselineApplied to every device in one click, with a report of what each device still misses, in plain English.
  • Leavers handled in one placeLock or wipe the device, retrieve the encryption key, and reuse the Mac or iPhone instead of leaving it locked to a leaver's Apple ID.
  • Or let your IT partner run itA Purple partner runs Purple MDM for you from Purple's partner portal, with every action logged in your own account.

FAQ

Questions we hear from teams like yours

Do we need an IT person to run Purple MDM?

No. Settings are forms, failed checks are explained in a sentence and known fixes send themselves. Many small businesses have their Purple partner run it for them from the partner portal.

How much does it cost?

Per device, per month, every platform included, direct from Purple or through a partner. Prices are not published; tell us your fleet and we send a quote.

What happens when someone leaves?

Lock or wipe their device from the console, retrieve its encryption key, and reuse the Mac or iPhone: Activation Lock is handled so it is not stuck on the leaver's Apple ID.

Can we start with a few devices?

Yes. Enrol new devices as they arrive and import the rest when you are ready, in waves.
